Delete account or data
This page describes both deletion paths for kerntrack:
- Delete only your data: your logged health and nutrition data is removed from the device. Your account stays.
- Delete your account: your account, your email address and your data are permanently deleted.
Delete only your data: in the app (your account stays)
Open kerntrack → Profile → the "Data & Privacy" card → "Permanently delete all data" and confirm with "Delete everything". The health and nutrition data stored on your device is deleted immediately and irreversibly. You are signed out in the process; your account and email address remain, and you can sign back in at any time.
This deletes the local database of the currently active profile: signed in, that is your account's data; without an account, the guest profile's. If you have logged data on this device both with and without an account, repeat the deletion in the other state.
Delete only your data: what is deleted, what remains?
Deleted from the device immediately and irreversibly:
- Your profile (name, age, height, weight, goal)
- All meal entries, your weight history and your water tracking
- Meal templates and custom foods
- All Coach data: fasting sessions, GLP-1 injections and side effects, food tolerances, insights
- Wearable connections and synced health metrics
- Reminder settings and the weekly energy plan
- The cached encrypted backup, cached doctor's reports (PDF/CSV) and cached camera photos
What remains:
- Your account and email address (you are signed out and can sign back in at any time)
- Your subscription and purchase history with Google Play or the App Store and our subscription provider RevenueCat
- Support requests you have already sent: we delete these on request, the email copy in our support mailbox at the latest 90 days after the matter is closed, and in any case no later than 365 days after receipt
- Crash and error reports already sent (Sentry, EU); they carry no link to your name or account
- Backup files you saved outside the app yourself (for example in a folder or your cloud storage): kerntrack has no access to them, delete them there yourself
- Photos you chose to send to the public Open Food Facts database: they are published there under an open licence and can only be withdrawn at Open Food Facts itself
No health or nutrition data lives on our servers. If you also want the server-side data (your support requests and the AI usage counter) deleted without deleting your account, email us at support@kerntrack.de. If you want your account deleted as well, follow the next section.
Delete your account: in the app (recommended)
Open kerntrack → Profile → Account → "Delete account" and confirm. This permanently removes your online account and email address from our servers (Supabase, EU / Frankfurt) and irreversibly deletes the health and nutrition data stored on your device. If you signed in with Apple, you confirm the deletion on the iPhone once with Apple; this also ends Sign in with Apple for kerntrack. On an Android device that is not possible: remove kerntrack yourself in your Apple Account settings under "Sign in with Apple". It does not cover contributions you previously chose to send to the public Open Food Facts database: those photos are published there under an open licence and can only be withdrawn at Open Food Facts itself. The random device identifier used for them carries no link to your name or account. Also not covered is the email copy of your support requests in our support mailbox: we delete it on request, at the latest 90 days after the matter is closed, and in any case no later than 365 days after receipt.
Delete your account: what gets deleted?
- Your account and email address (Supabase, EU)
- Your support requests (the database copy; the email copy in the support mailbox is deleted on request, at the latest 90 days after the matter is closed, and in any case no later than 365 days after receipt)
- The AI usage counter
Your health and nutrition data lives on your device; it was never on our servers. Deleting in the app removes it from your device as well. A backup file or a report you exported yourself is deleted wherever you put it.
Important: subscriptions
Neither deleting your data nor deleting your account cancels an active subscription. Manage and cancel subscriptions in Google Play (Settings → Payments & subscriptions) or in the App Store (Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions), depending on where you bought it.
Already uninstalled the app?
Email us from your registered address at support@kerntrack.de; we will delete your account within 30 days and confirm the deletion. If you signed in with Apple, remove kerntrack yourself afterwards in your Apple Account settings under "Sign in with Apple"; after a deletion by email we cannot do that for you.
